This year, Saint James welcomed four new members to the Board. It is an honor to introduce Ms. Maria Karos '82, Dr. David Ludwick, Mr. Joseph Steven Pajer, and Dr. Walter Lawrence Prehn, III.
Maria Katina Karos graduated from Saint James School in 1982. Her appointment holds a special distinction. She is the first alumna to serve on the Board. She received her B.A. in Economics from Randolph-Macon Woman's College before earning her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. Since graduating from law school, she has been in private practice in Dallas, specializing in business litigation and defense of catastrophic injury cases.
David Ludwick is the father of three Saint James School alumni: Andrew '11, John '14, and Leanne '16. During his children's time at Saint James, Dr. Ludwick contributed to the School in many ways. He received his B.A. in Political Science from Bucknell University before pursuing graduate work in Biology at the same university. He attended the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, where he earned his M.D. He is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and Internal Medicine.
Joseph Steven Pajer is the father of Elliot Pajer who graduated from Saint James in 2015. During Elliot's time at Saint James, Mr. Pajer was actively involved with the School. He received his B.S. in Civil Engineering and Engineering & Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University before earning his M.S. in Public Management & Policy from his alma mater. He earned an Executive MBA from the Katz School of Management at the University of Pittsburgh.
The Revd. Dr. Walter Lawrence Prehn, III is the father of David K.M. Prehn who graduated from Saint James in 2012. He received his B.A. in History from Texas A&M University before earning his M.Div. at Nashotah House Seminary in Wisconsin. He earned a Ph.D. in the History of American Education from the University of Virginia.
