Response to COVID-19
For the 2021-2022 school year, we are thrilled to have all of our students back on campus and learning in-person. Saint James continues to closely monitor and respond to information and data surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, with guidance from multiple sources, including the CDC, WHO, and the Washington County Department of Health. The health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, and families is, as always, our highest priority. Continue reading to learn more about our policies and procedures.
Saint James has made the COVID-19 vaccination mandatory for all students. In addition, all teaching faculty and coaches must be vaccinated. Students will have the opportunity to receive the vaccination from Meritus Health on-campus if they cannot get it before their arrival.
Face masks will be required for everyone in all indoor spaces except for in the dorms or while eating. Students are not required to wear face masks outside or during sports.
Spectators are allowed at all home sporting events this year. Currently, all spectators must wear masks for any indoor sporting events, and anyone not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is asked to wear a mask at all times including at outdoor sporting events
The school will continue to have a layered approach to health mitigation measures and to rely upon the following additional measures:
- Hygiene measures (frequent hand-washing and hand-sanitizing stations)
- Improved cleaning and disinfecting
- Distancing where possible
