Varsity Boys' Soccer
Coach: Ted Camp

The SJS Boys' Varsity Soccer team had a hard-fought and difficult season. Coming up short in all but one game, the team had great contributions from its leaders and young players showed promise as we move forward.

The team was lead by Sixth Form captains Bryce Kilmer and Zach Zanetti. Though any team would want to come out on top more often than we did, the team had its focus of getting better each game. The best example of this was the week toward the end of the season when the team had a two-goal lead but ended up losing in a golden goal overtime play. However, three days later we were down to Goretti and staring down another inevitable loss, but the team never gave up. We had two great goals by Felipe Avellaneda (Sixth Form) and Chazz Banks-Snow (Fourth Form), the latter goal coming with just two minutes left in the second half. The SJS community storming the field in classic style was amazing to see and it was fantastic to be a part of that atmosphere.

The team will lose several players to graduation, but we look forward to next year with many promising young players coming up. The team is well positioned to build from the hard work put in throughout the season and keep growing and improving next year.
