Varsity Field Hockey
Coach: Grace Megaffin

The Varsity Field Hockey team returned to Turner Field this August with a young and talented group. While some members of the team started field hockey for the first time, the squad was lucky to be led by tri-captains Molly McFillen (Sixth Form), Annie Zhao (Sixth Form), and Page Bacon (Fifth Form). We were fortunate to have former ice hockey player, Yuming Yang (Third Form), help the coaches in the role of manager.

Over the course of the season success was found through the challenge of competition, establishing new friendships, and being able to play a full season of inter-scholastic field hockey after missing a year due to the pandemic. Of the eleven starters, nine will return next year to continue to build on the foundation created by the 2021 team.

In the offseason, the team is participating in an indoor field hockey and summer team camp league to develop their skills and team cohesion. Coaches Grace Megaffin and Molly Lachut look forward to continued improvement next fall.
