We are pleased to introduce the two newest members of the Saint James School Board of Trustees. The new trustees were introduced at the October Board meeting and will work with the 14 other members to formulate policy and assess the performance of the School. We thank them for giving their time to help with this important work.

While attending Saint James, George was a member of the Cum Laude Society, and he played football, basketball, and golf. George earned his BA in Art from Tulane in 1975 and returned a few years later to earn his MBA in 1986.
After receiving his BA, George joined the family firm, Barriere Construction Company. The business was sold to CRH, the largest paving and aggregates company in North America, in 2020.
George brings a wealth of experience serving on various boards, both past and present. He currently serves on the Boards of Allan Myers (a construction engineering company based in Pennsylvania), Lusher Charter School (LA), New Orleans Startup Fund, YouthForce NOLA (an education, business, and civic non-profit collaborative), and YPO Gold (an American-based worldwide leadership community of chief executives).
George has also been an active member of several community organizations: the Business Council of Greater New Orleans, a member of the World Presidents’ Organization, and the New Orleans District of Louisiana Associated General Contractors.
George was named Distinguished Entrepreneur of the Year in 2010 by the Tulane Family Business Center and received the C. Allen Favrot Humanitarian of the Year Award from the YMCA in 2018.
