As part of the Make A Difference Capital Campaign, the school announced in the spring plans to build a new boys' dormitory across College Road, near Old Orchard House. The nearest crosswalk was located on the part of the road that had an incline, making it potentially dangerous as cars coming from Sharpsburg Pike would not have been able to see pedestrians. 

Over the summer, construction crews closed College Road for several weeks in order to level out the road to alleviate this problem. The road is now lowered so that cars coming from both directions will be able to see pedestrians crossing the road.
