The 2022-2023 school year kicked off with move-in day on August 20 followed by Welcome Week, during which students became familiar with their new schedule and classes, prepared for the fall sports season, and participated in fun activities, such as lawn games, mini golf, treats from Kona Ice, and shopping trips. We welcomed a record number of students to campus—158 returning students and 82 new students, representing 27 countries and 17 states.
The only remaining Covid-19 protocol was requiring face masks in Chapel through October. This gave time for our students and faculty to receive the bivalent Covid-19 booster. We are now face mask optional and feel fortunate that our community has largely remained healthy as we resume our normal Saint James traditions.
We are already off to a fantastic start to the year. It's an exciting time to be a Saint!
