Having started her position as Assistant Director of Development & Alumni Relations in March, Heidi Frye is the veteran of our new group of administrators.  So far, she has most enjoyed the collaborative atmosphere at Saint James.

“We are all truly here doing work for the benefit of the students and the school,” said Heidi. “I also really appreciate being at a smaller school where we can all know each other and feel a part of a community.”

Heidi came to Saint James from Gettysburg College, where she served in the Admissions Office for 12 years and was most recently the Associate Director.  She has a BA in French from Valparaiso University.

“Admissions and Development are all about relationships. We can best promote a school to potential students, current families, alumni, and friends when we know each other and the school well,” she said. “I also feel it is essential to believe in a school and its mission to recruit or raise money—and that’s easy at Saint James!”

As we head into what we hope will be a more “normal” year, Heidi is looking forward to getting to know our students better.
“One of the things I was most excited about when I took this position was getting to sit with the students at lunch and really build relationships with some of them,” she said.

Heidi and her husband Christopher live in Chambersburg, PA, and have three children, Isabelle, Gabe, and Rowan.  In her free time, Heidi is an avid reader, loves to knit and weave, and enjoys chatting and drinking coffee with friends and family.
