College Highlights:

• Played NCAA Division III lacrosse at Franklin and Marshall College.
• Throughout his college career as a mid-fielder, Jordan played in 37 games, scored 19 goals with 7 assists and served as a captain his senior year.
• Graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Joint Studies (Business, Organizations, and Society/Public Policy).

A multisport athlete, Jordan Barr arrived at Saint James in 2004 and had no problem meeting Saint James’ two-sport requirement, having been an avid lacrosse, basketball, and soccer player.  He decided to challenge himself with a new sport, choosing football, in addition to basketball and lacrosse.

“Football not only ended up being my favorite sport, but it gave me a toughness that transferred over to basketball and lacrosse,” he said. “This toughness ultimately led to me being able to play four years of NCAA D-III lacrosse at a top 20 school.”

Jordan dominated on the lacrosse field for the Saints, playing four years on the varsity team and leading as a captain his senior year. He scored 128 goals and 59 assists in his four-year career, was named all-county for three years, and was Herald-Mail Player of the Year as a senior.

After graduating in 2009, Jordan attended Franklin and Marshall College. He feels there were numerous aspects of the Saint James experience that prepared him to succeed in college, but structure and daily routine were the most important factors.

“I took this routine and made sure my days were similarly structured in college,” he said. “I can say with confidence that I was better prepared to balance my daily academic, athletic, and social obligations than nearly all of the other student-athletes. Saint James provided the blueprint.”

Jordan starred as a midfielder for the Diplomats and earned a B.A. in business and public policy in 2013.  He lived in Los Angeles for four years and worked as a Client Representative on the Casualty Advisory team at Marsh. He currently lives in Baltimore.
