October 1, 2021 FAMILY NEWSLETTER Greetings from the Dean's Office!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I was so happy to be a part of the Saint James version of the Great Race of Pittsburgh last weekend. A great group of students, faculty, and family ran or walked the 5k which was won by Mr. Brown followed closely by fifth former Drew Weisgerber. It was an early morning but well worth waking up in order to spend the time together. Events like this show how leading for good is a community wide endeavor. We have a quick week ahead of us leading into Family Weekend and the Fall Long Weekend. If you plan to attend the Family Weekend events, please RSVP to the invitation sent by the academic office. We anticipate a small of group students remaining on campus over the long weekend. There will be faculty on duty to care for this group. The students will be able to stay in their dorms and eat each meal in the refectory. Some spaces on campus will be opened each day, but planned activities and trips off campus will be minimal. All students leaving campus need parental permission. Please be on the lookout for leave requests on Reach. We look forward to a fun week ahead capped by family time and a well-earned break.
Sincerely,
David Hutchings Dean of Students
